From
Our Right Worshipful Master
Bro. David Duffy
And on behalf of our Past Masters, Wardens, Office Bearers and Brethren of Lodge Earl Haig, extends to you, warm fraternal greetings and welcomes you to our web site.
We hope you enjoy your visit, and that you will return again soon.
A Message From The Master
Brethren, Firstly may I thank you for your continued support for the 2006/07 season.
I joined the Craft in 1985, and have enjoyed being a freemason ever since.
With new media I now have the benefit of the internet to send you this message,
I wonder what our forebearers would say?
As Master of Lodge Earl Haig, I am positive and proud of our Lodge,
everyone should be proud of their own Lodge.
The members of Lodge Earl Haig held a Race Night last October which was a great success, not only in raising money but as a social gathering, this is to be repeated again this October (21st actually), hope to see you all there, and bring a friend a great night is expected again.
Also a very successful kids Christmas party was held, and will be held again this year ( Sun 17th Dec, 12 till 2).
This coming January will see the revival of our Burns Night, details of which will be posted on the site very shortly.
Over the last year we have been collecting money through our members under the name,
Members United Gathering Support.
or known as MUGS for short. I am sincerely grateful to all the members taking part for there support.
Also last season saw Lodge Earl Haig hold Special Meetings on a monthly basis giving us two meetings a month for the full season, which with your continued support we hope to achieve again this season.
With all this happening in our Lodge,
There is hope for Freemasonry.
And that is down to the achievement of having dedicated, committed and hard working Office Bearers.
That's not a secret.
I am impressed with what we have achieved, always remembering that it is important to be a part of a TEAM,
( Together Everyone Achieves More )
Helping others in need, and trying to respond to our own questions, makes this hobby of ours very fulfilling, yet frustrating at the same time.
Can you say to yourself?
Yes I am proud to be a Freemason.
What difference can I make?, simple question,
Some would say, one person wont make a difference, or maybe that, I disagreed with someone and left the Lodge.
Make the effort to make that difference,
Come to the Lodge
Been away a while, weeks, months or maybe even years,
Don't worry, come along, join in and be a part of it.
Your Lodge will always be proud to have you
Bro David Duffy, RWM Lodge Earl Haig 1260
